Helping Children Understand Their Emotions and Build Resilience
As educators, carers, and parents, we know how important it is to support not just a child’s academic growth, but their emotional wellbeing too. The Mini Medics Mental Health Course is designed with this in mind - a gentle, age-appropriate introduction to mental health for children aged 7 to 11.
This course offers children the chance to explore mental health in a safe, supportive environment. It doesn’t overcomplicate or overwhelm. Instead, it provides simple, honest guidance to help them understand their emotions, talk about how they feel, and recognise when others might need support too.
As teachers, we've seen first-hand how early conversations about mental wellbeing can make a lasting difference. This course builds that foundation. It opens up dialogue, builds emotional literacy, and empowers children to care for their own mental health - just as they would their physical health.
Delivered by qualified, DBS-checked instructors, the course uses interactive discussions, relatable examples, and creative activities to keep children engaged and supported. Each child receives a certificate and activity booklet to reinforce their learning at home.
We teach children to read, to write, and to count. Let’s also teach them to understand themselves and to be kind to their minds.
